Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager of Icom UK Ltd has raised £600 for the Kent Association for the Blind after completing the recent Brighton Marathon. Ian completed the marathon in just over 5 hours 30 minutes.
Representatives of two member BMEA companies are taking on two challenges for charity in the next few months. Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager of Icom UK Ltd is to take on the challenge of running his first Marathon at Brighton on 10th April 2011 in aid of the Kent Association for the Blind (KAB). Tim Davies, Customer Support Manager of Navico UK Ltd will be taking on the challenge of cycling as part of a team from John O’Groats to Lands End all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on 21st May 2011.
Icom has signed a one-year agreement with Powerboat P1 Management Ltd to become the racing series’ ‘Official Radio Communications Partner’ for 2010. Six European Icom distributors are behind this sponsorship, who as part of the sponsorship package will supply IC-F4029SDR digital license free radios, ear pieces and chargers. The Icom distributors involved with this major sponsorship are from the UK, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Sweden and Russia.
