Our Annual Conference provides our members with an opportunity to get together not only to discuss topics of mutual interest but also to create and build beneficial business relationships within our industry.
Throughout the day there are various presentations are given by top UK and internationally known experts to provide up to date information on a range of technical matters ranging from satellite navigation, electronic cartography, radar, electrical supplies etc, as well as speakers from outside the marine industry who provide useful business information.
In the past we have had speakers from the NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association), President of the ABYC (American Boat & Yacht Council), MAIB (Marine Accident Investigation Branch) along with many others giving very useful information about up coming changes in the industry.
We have had many speakers from investment bankers, solicitors and talks on available grants to help with your business. Everyone who attends the conference comes away with very useful information.
Running along side is the apprentice competition with apprentices from local businesses and colleges sending the best of their best to partake in the BMEEA challenges we set. Previous winners were apprentices from Bournemouth and Poole College and who are employed by Sunseeker International Ltd.
Following the day schedule is our Annual awards presented during the Dinner that follows in the evening. Various awards are up for grabs so make sure you cast your vote when we run the competitions in September.
